Established 50 years ago in Santiago, Chile, as a non-profit organization, Experiment Chile has developed a number of volunteer opportunities in partnership with local organizations and according to the regulatory standards set by the International Federation of The Experiment in International Living to volunteer experiences found in our section Volunteers for International Partnership

Our volunteer programs are safe and meaningful experiences designed to make a long lasting and rewarding difference not only in the host projects and local communities, but also in the volunteer’s life history.

Constant support from the first contact with our world partners and directly from us throughout the length of your program in Chile. We care to make a difference and to guide you through this cultural and volunteer immersion process. We work closely with local people, communities, host families, local representatives and host projects to provide a well-rounded experience and true contribution from our volunteers.

In spite of the fact that Chile is pictured by many as the fastest growing economy in the region, there are still many challenges to be solved. Chile is placed, shamefully, as one of the five top countries with the worst income inequality in the world, an extreme gap between the very rich and the very poor that has marked tremendous social injustice and a scenario that has kept more than two million Chileans living in poverty.

We invite you to Chile as a volunteer to contribute with your time, part of your resources, skills, willingness and knowledge to make a difference.

Volunteering in Chile is an open invitation to share and learn about yourself and others by contributing with your time. Improve your Spanish language skills and admire a country of breathtaking natural beauties and extremes.
